High school?!?!?!!!!

Help!!! I found out today that I will be teaching high school SPED now instead of elementary. I am a little nervous because I have always worked with the younger kiddos. I just hope that I can give these guys everything they need in order to succeed. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on working with older kids?

First things first... Target dollar section is the BOMB.COM!!!! Today I got dry-erase boards, clocks, schedules, adorable file folders, and a trash can.... and their organization cubes are on sale for 3.50 SCORE!!!

I also got an e-mail today about my first in service. I know that this excitement will probably die down (hopefully not) but right now every step closer to decorating and actually having my first classroom are the best feeling ever! I am very excited about this upcoming school year and I just hope and pray that I will be able to give these students everything they need to succeed. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!!!!

Yesterday my best friend and I decided to attempt to be crafty.... we made an adorable memo board and started my treasure chest. I was pretty impressed with our turn-out. woo hoo!!

First.....

First everything is always a bit awkward, right?? Well, I might as well get the first post out of the way. I decided to create a blog so that I could keep up with some of my teacher friends and also to get as many teaching resources as possible. 

I am about to begin my first year teaching!!!! I am sooooo excited/anxious/nervous/scared. I can't wait to finally see my classroom and meet my kiddos. 

I plan on attempting a few crafts for my classroom today... I'll update y'all on how that goes. Well, that's about all I have right now... pretty boring, I know!
